After being released by the Vikings last month in a cost-cutting move, the Vikings want Antoine Winfield back and are “actively” trying to re-sign him, according to Pro Football Talk.
Another possible landing spot for the veteran defensive back is Washington. According to the Washington Post, there is “high mutual interest” between the two sides.
Where he ends up could come down to which team can give him more money, which the Vikings have more of to spend.
Pro Football Focus recently tabbed Winfield as the top-rated cornerback in 2012.
