Less than 24 hours after Jalen Reagor made the Minnesota Vikings’ official 53-man roster, the 24-year-old former first-round pick has been released, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The report comes only an hour or so after the Vikings were said to be close to coming to an agreement with free agent running back Myles Gaskin.
Adding Gaskin would require a corresponding roster move, so it could be that Reagor is the victim to get Gaskin on the team.
Reagor was one of six receivers to make the 53-man roster and his release leaves Justin Jefferson, KJ Osborn, Jordan Addison, Brandon Powell and Jalen Nailor in the receiver room.
