The Minnesota Vikings are reportedly signing Myles Gaskin, the running back who was cut by the Miami Dolphins ahead of Tuesday’s roster deadline.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Gaskin is set to join the Vikings’ active roster on Tuesday.
RB Myles Gaskin, released yesterday by the Dolphins, is signing today with the Vikings active roster, per source. Agents Drew Rosenhaus and Ryan Matha confirmed the deal with Minnesota, where Gaskin now will be reuniting with his former HC Brian Flores, the Vikings’ DC.

The Vikings are in need of running back depth after cutting DeWayne McBride, whom they drafted in the 7th round this year, on Tuesday.
Gaskin will join a Vikings running back corps that includes Alexander Mattison, Kene Nwangwu, and Ty Chandler.
The 26-year-old is a capable pass-catching running back. In 2020 he had a combined 972 scrimmage yards with five touchdowns and two fumbles.
He followed that up with 846 yards and seven touchdowns, but fell out of favor in the Miami backroom last season, with Raheem Mostert the lead back before the Dolphins traded for Jeff Wilson.
