Sometime in the next two weeks the Minnesota Vikings will be holding a private meeting with LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels.
The news comes from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, who on Thursday reported that the Vikings and Giants have set up private meetings with the Heisman Trophy winner. According to Minnesota sports insider Darren Wolfson, the meeting will happen next Thursday – just one week before the draft – in Louisiana.

ESPN’s Matt MIller says the Vikings have gone an alternate route by not sending head coach Kevin O’Connell and general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah to pro days, instead choosing to schedule private workouts with the top quarterback prospects.
A source told Miller that the Vikings “want to see them work out in a more intimate setting” to “get them a little uncomfortable running our workout vs. theirs.”
Is it a meeting or a workout? That’s unclear. Rapoport says meeting, but every other private get together with quarterback prospects has reportedly included a workout.
Minnesota has already held private workouts with Drake Maye, J.J. McCarthy, Michael Penix Jr. and Bo Nix. Daniels will be the fifth of the most hype QBs in the draft, with the lone exception being Caleb Williams, who will undoubtedly be selected by Chicago with the No. 1 pick.
