How serious is Sam Bradford’s knee injury?
Per NFL reporter Tom Pelissero, it’s a bone bruise. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Vikings “think” Bradford will be able to play this week at home against the Buccaneers.

“The belief before the game, and really throughout the week, was this was a one week injury for Sam Bradford, dealing with a cartilage issue in his knee,” Rapoport said. “I’m told the ACL is fine, the other ligaments are fine. This really is a swelling and discomfort issue from taking a shot to his knee last week.”
That’s the good news. The annoying part is that the Vikings don’t know for sure how Bradford’s knee will respond to treatment this week.
“They think it’s going to be one week,” Rapoport explained, saying the Vikings “think he’ll be back under center next week. But until you get on a couple days and see how the treatment takes hold, there’s really no way to know for sure.”
With Bradford sidelined the Vikings and backup quarterback Case Keenum got rocked by the Steelers, 26-9. Keenum led just two scoring drives while 10 other drives ended in a turnover, end of the half or a punt.
