Pro Football Talk, citing a source with knowledge of the situation, reports that the Vikings offered a seventh-round pick to the Ravens for veteran wide receiver Anquan Boldin.
The offer was trumped by the 49ers, who successfully traded a sixth round pick for Boldin.
Making an offer for Boldin goes against general manager Rick Spielman’s philosophy of finding young players and building through the draft. Boldin is 32-years-old and has already logged 10 years in the NFL.
