A report by John Morosi of FoxSports.com indicates the Minnesota Twins are apparently in pursuit of free agent lefthander Joe Saunders, who pitched for Arizona and Baltimore last year.
According to Aaron Gleeman on NBCSports.com, Saunders likely dropped his demands to be signed to a multi-year deal.
The Twinkie Town blog at SBNation.com figures if the Twins can pull it off (there are other teams interested, including Baltimore), it’ll be a two-year deal at the maximum.
Saunders, 31, has a 78-65 record with a 4.15 ERA over eight years in the major leagues.
