Brian Dozier’s future with the Twins is hanging in the balance. Will he stay with the Twins or will the Dodgers find a way to convince Twins Chief Baseball Officer Derek Falvey to pull the trigger on a trade that would send the best player on the team to the National League?
According to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports, the staredown between the clubs could end at any moment. The result will likely be determined by the Dodgers, who have to increase their offer if they want Dozier, or so says USA Today’s Bob Nightengale.
But that’s apparently not happening. Rosenthal updated his report Tuesday afternoon, saying the Twins and Dodgers are at an impasse and no future talks have been scheduled.

There’s only one player universally believed to be the centerpiece of a Twins-Dodgers deal: Jose De Leon.
De Leon is a right-handed pitcher who led the minors in strikeout rate last season, averaging 12.8 strikeouts per nine innings. Rosenthal, however, reports that the Twins are somewhat skeptical about De Leon fulfilling his promise at the major league level. That’s why they want more.
