The Wolves will not extend a qualifying offer to Nickeil Alexander-Walker, according to USA Today’s Michael Scotto.
Alexander-Walker now becomes an unrestricted free agent after the Wolves reportedly declined to extend a 1-year/$7 million qualifying offer to the guard.
Minnesota acquired Alexander-Walker as part of the D’Angelo Russell trade in February.

In 23 regular season games Alexander-Walker averaged 5.9 points, 1.4 assists and 1.8 rebounds for the Wolves.
Alexander-Walker stepped up in the playoffs scoring 8.4 points per game and registering 1.4 assists and 2.0 rebounds per game.
Minnesota’s decision to not extend a qualifying offer to Alexander-Walker comes a day after the Wolves waived Taurean Prince.
