It could be Teddy Time when the Vikings take the field next in Week 10.
Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reported on Sunday there’s a good chance he’s on the field after Minnesota’s bye week.
“If that happens, expect him to be activated off the PUP [physically unable to perform] list and then compete for the starting job,” said Rapoport. “This is a player they consider to be their franchise quarterback. I would not be surprised, based on what I know, that he’s under center soon.”
Bridgewater has been practicing with the team for the past few weeks and possibly took first-team reps when Case Keenum was limited in practice last week.

Rapoport also said there’s no timeline for Sam Bradford to return from his knee injury, which opens the door for Bridgewater.
The Vikings have a bye this week and won’t play a game until Nov. 12 against the Washington Redskins – so they have plenty of time to get players healthy.
Keenum has won four of his six starts this season but his play against Cleveland on Sunday was sporadic, especially in the first half.
“Case has done an unbelievable job,” said Zimmer after Sunday’s win over the Browns. “He’s done what we’ve asked him to do and he’s come out and kept things rolling.”
Zimmer also added he hopes he has to make a decision on his starting quarterback going forward – meaning he’d obviously like to see Bridgewater healthy enough to at least be active for the game and push Keenum for the gig.
