Report: Saunders to NYC in hopes of landing Pekovic

Minnesota Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor says Flip Saunders will travel to New York next week to talk with the agent representing freee-agent Nikola Pekovic.

Taylor tells the Star Tribune the Wolves have made an offer and the Pekovic camp has made a counter-offer.

The Wolves’ offer is reportedly $50 million over four years.

Pekovic averaged 16.3 points and 8.8 rebounds last season.
