Not only is Sam Bradford’s knee injury concerning for this season – it could be career ending.
According to Phil Mackey of 1500-ESPN, Fox analyst Jay Glazer said during the Packers-Vikings pregame show that Bradford’s injury, “is worse than people know,” hinting that the injury could end his career.
Bradford is listed inactive for Sunday, and even flew to New York to get plasma treatment for his ailing knee, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Minnesota started Bradford last week against the Chicago Bears. It was just his second start of the season and his first since the season opener.
The results weren’t good, as Bradford completed just five of 11 passes for 36 yards, and was eventually benched by halftime.
Case Keenum ended up leading the team to a win over Chicago and made his fourth start of the season on Sunday vs. Green Bay.
Despite playing in limited action, Keenum has produced the fifth-best quarterback rating in the NFL this season.
