David Kahn … the Timberwolves executive that brought Ricky Rubio to Minnesota … is gone.
How does that sit with Rubio?
Not so well, acccording to NBCSports.com.
The Rubio family is reportedly “disappointed” in the decision to swap Kahn with Flip Saunders … in large part because Kahn “stuck his neck out” and drafted Rubio.
Many believe Kahn was dismissed in part because of his sour relationship with Kevin Love. It was Kahn who told Love he couldn’t have the team’s one five-year extension because it was being saved for Rubio.
Next move, apparently, is for Saunders to make sure Rubio can forget Kahn — if he already hasn’t.
