Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, who had knee surgery two years ago and hernia surgery last year, will reportedly go under the knife for the third consecutive offseason.
In a meeting with the doctor that performed his hernia surgery last year, Philadelphia-based William D. Meyers, Meyers advised AP to have the groin procedure.
Update: I've also learned that #Vikings RB Adrian Peterson needs & has opted for surgery on his groin in the very near future.

According to an USA Today report regarding the nature of the surgery, it will be a minimally invasive procedure called an abductor release, which cuts an irritated tendon and would require a short rehab stint.
Peterson has not set a date for the surgery, with early reports only saying that it will happen “soon”.
