What will come first, Percy Harvin‘s 28th birthday or the end of his career in the NFL?
Harvin, the former Vikings receiver who turns 28 in May, is fed up with nagging injuries to the point that he’s contemplating retirement, the Buffalo News reports. NFL reporter Vic Carucci wrote:
“According to NFL sources, Harvin is deciding whether he wants to continue playing as the result of a nagging hip injury that kept him out of last Sunday’s loss against Cincinnati.
The Bills are “comfortable with the possibility of moving on without” Harvin, a league source said.”
According to FOX Sports, there is a “legitimate chance” Harvin has played his last NFL game.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter, however,
Percy Harvin increasingly frustrated w/ hip + knee injuries expected to sideline him indefinitely, per sources. Not considering retirement.

Harvin missed the majority of the 2013 season with a torn labrum in his hip, and he didn’t play in last week’s game with the Buffalo Bills because of a lingering hip injury that he sustained in the preseason.
Harvin missed 10 games with the Vikings from 2009-12. Since leaving Minnesota in a trade with Seattle, Harvin has played in a total of 19 regular season games during short stints with the Seahawks, Jets and now the Bills.
I'm told #Bills WR Percy Harvin is injured and certainly frustrated by it, but talk of him retiring is premature.

If Percy Harvin's hip — an issue he's battled for years — means he's played his last down, he's had a strange, highlight-filled career.
