Twins outfielder Josh Willingham has been claimed off waivers by the Baltimore Orioles, according to the Star Tribune.
Minnesota has until noon Friday to work out a trade with O’s, pull him back off waivers, or simply let Baltimore take him for nothing.
Willingham, who has struggled through injuries this season, is hitting .215 with 12 home runs and 45 RBI. He hit 35 home runs and finished with 110 RBI last season.
If the Twins decide to pull Willingham back off waivers, they’ll be forced to keep him for the remainder of the season, according to ESPN.
