Love him or hate him, Jimmy Butler is a magnet for controversial storylines.
The latest story involving the formerly disgruntled Wolves star comes from ESPN, which cites league sources who say Butler “has aggressively challenged coach Brett Brown on his role in the offense.”
Shocking. Hilarious. Predictable.
Basically, the story says Butler is having a hard time adjusting to his new role in Philly’s free-flowing offense, and he’s starting to become vocal about it in the locker room and team meetings.
This comes on the heels of a story in December where superstar Joel Embiid complained about his role in the offense since Butler arrived.
From a statistical standpoint, Butler’s numbers haven’t suffered much at all with the 76ers. Check out this stats in 10 games with the Wolves this season compared to the 21 he’s played with the Sixers.

Butler is taking just under two shots fewer per game with Philadelphia than he was in Minnesota this season, so his alleged complaint doesn’t appear to be about touches as much as it does about how he’s getting the ball on offense.
The 76ers (25-14) are 14-8 since acquiring Butler. The Wolves (17-21) are 13-12 since trading him, although that includes nine losses in their last 13 games entering play Friday.
