ESPN’s Andy Katz reports the Gophers were recently turned down by Cincinnati head coach, Mike Cronin.
Source: Minnesota reached out to Cincinnati's Mick Cronin, but he withdrew from consideration, citing family, commitment to UC.

If the report is true, Cronin is the fourth coaching candidate to avoid the Gophers. It is believed that Virginia Commonwealth’s Shaka Smart, Fred Hoiberg of Iowa State and former Timberwolves coach Flip Saunders rejected offers from Minnesota, too.
Amelia Rayno of the Star Tribune, on Monday, wrote about Florida Gulf Coast head coach Andy Enfield and Nebraska head coach Tim Miles as viable options for the Gophers.
Katz also reported that Minnesota was showing strong interest in Enfield. Whatever interest the U of M had wasn’t enough, because Enfield is reportedly close to signing a deal with Southern California.
