Gary Kubiak played a big role in Minnesota’s offensive success this past season while serving as assistant head coach to Mike Zimmer, and now he’ll have full control of play-calling.
According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, Kubiak will take over as offensive coordinator in 2020, taking the play-calling duties that were made available with Kevin Stefanski being named head coach of the Cleveland Browns.

With Stefanski calling plays last season, Kubiak served as an offensive advisor, helping incorporate the zone-blocking schemes that he’s had success with throughout his career as a coach in the NFL.
