Wild center Eric Staal took a nasty tumble over the weekend in Minnesota’s season-ending loss to the St. Louis Blues.
Staal was immediately taken to Regions Hospital where he underwent testing. The team announced he was released from the hospital later that evening.
According to Michael Russo of the Star Tribune, Staal was diagnosed with a concussion.
After getting crossed up with Blues defenseman Carl Gunarsson, Staal went head first into the boards and was down for serval minutes.

He was eventually able to skate off the ice on his own power, but the forward seemed pretty dazed after the incident.
Staal just wrapped his first season with the Wild where he scored a team-high 28 goals. He’ll turn 32 years old next season.
