Minnesota traded Eduardo Nunez to the San Francisco Giants last season and now the Twins and Giants are talking about Brian Dozier, according to MLB reporter Jon Heyman.
giants still like brian dozier & showing some interest. but fit remains imperfect. dodgers have been most persistent on BD

It’s been more than a month with the Dodgers as the only team really linked to the Twins and Dozier. But according to Heyman, talks between Minnesota and L.A. are stalled, maybe even at an “impasse.”
More from Heyman:
“The Twins at one point sought Dodgers’ top minor-league prospect Cody Bellinger, the slick-fielding first baseman, but those efforts apparently were rebuffed. Word is the Twins have a pitching-heavy list of alternatives they’d take instead, but the Dodgers have to this point an entirely different list of prospects they’d agree to send to Minnesota.
It is known that the Dodgers hold two other top pitching prospects — Walker Buehler and Yadier Alvarez — in extremely high regard, and it’s quite likely that L.A. wouldn’t be willing to deal either of those two prospects along with De Leon. In fact, some believe the Dodgers like Buehler and Alvarez even more than De Leon despite many publications ranking De Leon higher.”
It was recently reported that the Dodgers are willing to part with top pitching prospect Jose De Leon for Dozier, but Minnesota might be asking for more considering Dozier has a very fair contract and a 42-homer year in his back pocket.
Sources: Dodgers have shown willingness to include top pitching prospect Jose DeLeon in a deal for Brian Dozier. Would be strong headliner.
