The son of Hall of Fame wide receiver Cris Carter is expected to sign a contract with the Indianapolis Colts.
Duron Carter, a 6-foot-5 wideout who played for the Montreal Alouettes in the Canadian Football League the past two seasons, previously worked out for the Vikings, among other teams.

The Colts and Vikings were believed to be the favorites for Carter, who, according to Pro Football Talk, caught 75 passes for more than 1,000 yards and 7 touchdowns last season.
And as I've been saying, Colts and Vikings were always the front-runners for Duron Carter.

Carter went undrafted in 2013, but not for a lack of talent. ESPN reports that his stock fell after academic issues at a pair of his college stops – Ohio State and Alabama.
The Indianapolis Star reports that Carter prefers the Colts over the Vikings largely because of the presence of all-pro quarterback Andrew Luck. After working out for the Vikings on Jan. 11, Carter told the Star Tribune that the “Vikings are No. 1, but I might as well go around and see what everybody is talking about.”
Apparently he liked what was said in Indy more than Minnesota.
