McCaffrey suffered an oblique injury late in the 49ers’ loss to the Browns last week and did not return to the game. The 27-year-old running back missed the first two days of practice before participating on a limited basis Saturday. McCaffrey was listed as questionable on the 49ers final injury report.
With 553 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns, adding 23 catches for 177 yards and a pair of receiving touchdowns, McCaffrey has been an early MVP candidate for the 5-1 49ers.
On top of wide receiver Deebo Samuels missing Monday night’s game, the 49ers will also be without starting left tackle Trent Williams as well, reports Adam Schefter.
