While Twins fans were fearing the worst after Byron Buxton walked off injured at Fenway Park, Saturday has brought a more positive update.
According to baseball insider Ken Rosenthal, of The Athletic, Buxton has not sustained any “structural damage” after leaving the game with knee soreness.
Rosenthal, citing a source, reports it “probably will require a week or so off.”
It happened when he was sliding into second on a double in the first inning.

It’ll come as a major relief to the Twins in the summer after they agreed a bumper contract with Buxton, who has struggled with a series of unlucky injuries in recent years.
The Twins play the second game in the series against the Red Sox at 3:10 p.m. Saturday.
