T.J. Clemmings is going to need a tranquilizer dart to slow down Everson Griffen if he’s matched up with him on Sunday.
Clemmings, the former Vikings offensive lineman, started at left tackle for the Redskins last Sunday in Seattle and was regularly beaten by 37-year-old Dwight Freeney. Just imagine what Griffen, who’s third in the NFL with 10 sacks, will do to Clemmings.

Washington’s only real hope is that perennial Pro Bowl left tackle Trent Williams somehow finds a way to play through a bone bruise and ligament damage in his right knee. The injury has kept him out the last two games and will eventually require surgery, according to CBS Sports.
If Williams does play, the odds of him being 100 percent are slim.
Prior to last Sunday’s game between Washington and Seattle, Clemmings had allowed 113 pressures – the third most among tackles – on 1,115 pass-blocking snaps dating back to 2015, according to Pro Football Focus (PFF). That equates to a 39.1 pass-blocking grade from PFF, which is less than half the 80.0 grade Williams has during the same period.
Washington was down three of five starters on the offensive line last week, so we’ll be watching the injury reports closely all week to see any of their walking wounded will be healthy against the Vikings.
