The Minnesota Wild lost its second straight game, 5-3 Friday night in Detroit.
The game was scoreless after one period but six goals were scored in the second period. Unfortunately, the Red Wings scored four of the six.
Detroit added a goal in the third to go up 5-2 before Zach Parise’s second goal of the night cut the lead to two, but that’s as close as the Wild would get.
Tom Gilbert also scored for Minnesota — his first tally of the season.
Todd Bertuzzi led Detroit with two goals.
Josh Harding took the loss in goal. He stopped just 22 of 27 shots.
