After finishing his first season with the Gophers as the team’s second leading scorer, sophomore Kyle Rau is back to scoring at a high level again this season. An ankle injury slowed him to start the year, but he finally feels 100-percent healthy, and he’s once again the team’s second leading scorer. While the scoring is nice, Rau just hopes it helps Minnesota “get back to the Frozen Four.”
In other Gopher news, Don Lucia says goaltender Michael Shibrowski will miss a few weeks after getting “dinged” in Tuesday’s practice. That means the net belongs to freshman Adam Wilcox, who is this week’s WCHA Rookie of the Week. Up until last weekend in Alaska, Lucia had been rotating Shibrowski and Wilcox in goal.
