Minnesota sophomore forward Kyle Rau was named WCHA Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday. The Eden Prairie native tallied six points in three Gophers victories last week, including a hat trick against Alaska-Anchorage.
This weekend’s series against North Dakota isn’t just the last regular season meeting the rivals will have as WCHA members.
Both teams are tied for third with 19 points in the WCHA, just one point behind conference leaders Nebraska-Omaha and Denver.
