We’re way too early for negativity like that, instead lets focus on the big positive the program got today when senior defensive lineman Ra’Shede Hageman was named to the 2013 Chuck Bednarik Award Watch List.
The annual award is given to the top defensive player in the country, and Hageman is one of 75 on the preseason watch list.
Hageman’s junior year put him on the national map, as he recorded 35 tackles and six sacks. He is one of 11 players on the list from the Big Ten and one of only 14 defensive tackles nationally to make the cut.
