The Twins lost a one-run game to Texas on Thursday afternoon, falling to the Rangers 5-4.
Rangers outfielder Leonys Martin doubled in the eighth inning. A few moments later he came around to score his third run of the game on a sacrifice fly.
The Rangers took three of four from the Twins at Target Field.

Twins starter Sam Deduno didn’t factor in the decision. He pitched into the sixth and left with the score tied at four. Casey Fien was tagged with the loss, he gave up the eighth inning run.
Texas jumped out to an early lead in the top of the second inning when Shin Soo Choo hit a bases clearing double to put the Rangers up 3-0. Choo finished 2 for 4 with 3RBIs, on the afternoon.
The Twins fought back and took the lead in the top of the sixth inning on a two-run home run by Josh Willingham to give them a 4-3 lead. Willingham had a big day he finished 2 for 3 with the home run and 3RBIs.
Willingham had a chance to do more damage in the ninth, he came to the plate with a runner on and two out, but Texas closer Joakim Soria struck him out to end the game.
The Twins head to New York as they start a five-game road trip, with a weekend series against the Yankees.
