Apparently the fierce competitor inside Adrian Peterson was on full display last Sunday when head coach Leslie Frazier told him he wouldn’t be playing against the Eagles.
When Peterson was asked Friday about missing last Sunday’s game against Philadelphia, the reigning MVP said he was “devastated” and “hot” that he was held out of the game, also stating that he was ready to play.
Peterson said he felt he was ready to go last week, when he was inactive. "Man, words can’t even express. I was hot. I was devastated."

Peterson added he is “ready to roll” this week.
As for the Vikings rivals east of the border, Green Bay will once again be without Aaron Rodgers, who will miss his seventh straight game to continue recovery from a broken collarbone.
The Packers are 2-3-1 without Rodgers under center, and Matt Flynn will start for the fourth consecutive game for the Packers.
