Raiders star pass rusher Maxx Crosby told NFL Network that he intends to play Sunday against the Vikings.
Crosby has not practiced this week after suffering an infection ahead of Vegas’ Week 12 loss to the Chiefs. The 26-year-old edge rusher played against the Chiefs but said he was “about 60%” during the game, in which he registered a season-low 49 snaps.
The Raiders, like the Vikings, had a bye week in Week 13, allowing Crosby another week to get healthy. While he missed Wednesday and Thursday practice, Crosby said Friday he “absolutely” intends to play Sunday against the Vikings.

“If I’m able and have a heartbeat, I’m going to be out there with my brothers and try to go get a win,” Crosby said. “If I can go out there and impact the game any way I can to help my guys, I’m going to do it. I’ve had these two weeks to get my body right together, refocus and reenergize – I can’t wait for this last month. I’m feeling great right now, and I’ll be out there practicing. I can’t wait to get out there with the guys.”
The 6-foot-5 edge rusher has been terrorizing opposing offensive lines all season long. Crosby has 11.5 sacks this season, including five his past four games. The fifth-year pass rusher’s 64 pressures is sixth most by an edge rusher, his 89.4 pass rusher grade is ninth-best according to Pro Football Focus.
Crosby has double-digit sacks in three of his five years in the NFL, his 49 career sacks in 35th among active players.
