Rachel Banham‘s incredible career at the University of Minnesota is getting rewarded in a big way. The Gophers announced Wednesday that Banham’s jersey will be retired and raised to the Williams Arena rafters during a game against Maryland on Jan. 1, 2017.

Banham graduated from Minnesota and was taken fourth overall in the first round of the 2016 WNBA Draft by the Connecticut Sun. She left Minnesota as the school’s all-time leading scorer and 3-point shooter.
