When she was at the University of Minnesota, Rachel Banham became known as the “Maroon Mamba.” Well soon, she may have endorsement deals like her childhood idol Kobe “The Black Mamba” Bryant.
The Big Ten Player of the Year signed an endorsement deal with BiPro. According to the press release, she used the product while rehabbing from a knee injury and saw immediate results.
Banham returned from the devastating knee injury to make a full recovery, and averaged 28.6 points, 5.9 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game. Additionally, she earned All-American honors and was the No. 4 overall pick in the 2016 WNBA draft by the Connecticut Sun.
The highlight of her season was when she tied the NCAA’s single-game scoring record by putting up 60 points against Northwestern in February.
So far she is averaging 3.7 points per game in her rookie season in the WNBA.
