The Purdue Boilermakers pulled a 90-88 overtime upset at Williams Arena, Thursday night.
Whitney Bays’ jumper with three seconds left in overtime gave Purdue the lead for good, ending the Gophers two-game winning streak.
Bays led Purdue with 25 points, while Liza Clemons had a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Ashley Morrisette also added 19 and April Wilson chipped in 17 points and 12 assists.
Purdue shot 51 percent from the floor, and had 28 assists on 36 field goals on the night.
It was a tough loss for the Gophers, who had three players with double-doubles.
- Amanda Zahui B. had 26 points and 11 rebounds, before fouling out.
- Shae Kelley scored 20 points and grabbed 12 boards
- Shayne Mullaney chipped in 11 points and dished out 15 assists
Mikayla Bailey chipped in 12 and Carlie Wagner added 11, before she fouled out.
The Gophers (16-3) travel to Rutgers on Sunday afternoon.
