For whatever the reason, Twins pitcher Phil Hughes couldn’t wait for the next game to propose to his girlfriend on the giant video board at Target Field.
Instead, Hughes went to some fancy restaurant (we’re not sure where) to get engaged.

Luckily, his now fiancĂ©e has a man who is passionate … about hockey.
Not even two hours after “she said yes” Hughes was on Twitter talking about hockey – specifically, former Wild defenseman Brent Burns, who scored a goal for the San Jose Sharks.
Ok enough with the engagement stuff. Brent Burns has 19 goals?! That's a bad man

The Twins say Hughes is a giant hockey fan. His favorite club? The Tampa Bay Lightning, although he does dip into Wild games, too. Check out the tweeting rampage he went on during Sunday’s Wild-Blackhawks game at TCF Bank Stadium.

Question: have any Wild players stepped up and said this recent turnaround has nothing to do with coaching?

Hope Zucker is ok. Banged his head pretty good on the ice

Zucker is just fine. The Wild said he’s day-to-day with an upper-body injury. Here’s the hit that got him.

Anyway, back to baseball. Hughes and fellow Twins pitchers and catchers have their first workout of Spring Training on Monday. Position players report to Ft. Myers, Florida, on Friday.
