The Minnesota Timberwolves picked up their first preseason victory Wednesday night as they beat the Toronto Raptors 89-87 in Ottawa.
The Wolves trailed most of the night, but began chipping away at the Raptors lead in the third. They took the lead in the fourth on a three-pointer from Zach LaVine.

Three-point shooting was a theme of the night for Minnesota. They were 12-of-24 from the three-point line as a team and shot 48 percent from the floor in the win.
Tayshaun Prince was 3-of-4 from behind the arc to finish with 13 points, while both Tyus Jones and Andrew Wiggins knocked down a pair from deep.
Jones finished with 12, Wiggins chipped in 11.
But Minnesota also had the inside game going. Gorgui Dieng led all Wolves with 14 points and top-pick Karl-Anthony Towns added 12.
Former Wolves forward Anthony Bennett had a nice night in the loss for Toronto. He finished with 10 points and eight rebounds.
