An 0-1 start to the season didn’t send shockwaves through the community of NFL power rankings, but the Minnesota Vikings did drop in every list we could find.

The third-year quarterback threw three picks on Sunday and fumbled. Next week won’t be any easier, with the Soldier Field takeaway machines on the docket. The Chicago Bears have forced 24 turnovers in their past nine home games — that’s almost three per outing. Wouldn’t be a bad idea to give Adrian Peterson more than 18 carries this time, either.
Christian Ponder was 3-of-6 for 68 yards and two interceptions against at least eight men in the box. Until he improves, stopping Adrian Peterson is all defenses need to worry about.
