Christian Ponder wasn’t as soft-spoken as we’ve come to know him when he talked with the media following coach Leslie Frazier’s announcement that he would “more than likely” start Sunday night against the Packers.
Ponder says he plans on being more vocal to take hold of the position "because I don't plan on giving it back."

Ponder on his rough start: "I think these first three games I wasn’t having fun and I think guys noticed that. Obviously, I played poorly."

“The biggest thing for me is to play more relaxed,” Ponder told NFL writer Mark Craig. “I feel like I came out here running the scout team and stuff and practiced relaxed and then came out here running the first team and practiced relaxed, too. That’s going to be big for me.
The last time Ponder played the Packers he lit them up to the tune of three touchdowns in a playoff-berth clinching win week 17 last season. He finished with a career high 120.2 passer rating, according to the Star Tribune.
