Gopher men’s basketball coach Richard Pitino and his family are celebrating the birth of a baby boy. According to Pitino’s Twitter post, Jack was born last night, though few other details are available.

There was a lot of reaction to the announcement, from Pitino, who proclaimed Jack as the newest Gopher. That was significant because Pitino had been a rumored target of the University of Tennessee in their search for a new head coach.
