Judging Christian Ponder and the first-team offense of the Vikings will get a lot easier when Adrian Peterson makes his preseason debut Sunday night against the San Francisco 49ers.
Head coach Leslie Frazier informed the media today that Peterson will play in the game.
How bad has the Vikings’ first-team offense been through two preseason games without the reigning NFL MVP?
Really bad. The Star Tribune says the starters have played six series, and only one has last more than three plays and gone more than 15 yards.
Ponder was a miserable 5-of-12 passing against the Bills on Friday night.
The Vikings could be without second year wide receiver, Jarius Wright. Wright suffered a concussion against Buffalo. He’ll have to pass the NFL’s concussion protocol before returning to the field.
