There wasn’t a lot of new information following a meeting between Vikings running back Adrian Peterson and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on Tuesday afternoon.
That meeting lasted for more at least 90 minutes, but Peterson’s camp wasn’t saying much afterwards.

It was the first time the two had met since Peterson was indicted on child abuse charges in Texas last September.

Peterson was suspended by Goodell after the running back pleaded no contest a misdemeanor reckless assault charge in connection with the incident.
The league has not said when it will reinstate Peterson, who is back on the commissioner’s exempt list while the NFL appeals a federal judge’s ruling throwing out the league’s suspension.
“I am anxious to start a new chapter and get on with the rest of my life,” Peterson told ESPN’s Josina Anderson on his way into his meeting with Goodell. Anderson notes that Peterson is also eager to share about what he and his family have gone through while he has been disciplined by the league.
USA Today’s Tom Pelissero notes the players association was expected to contend that Goodell’s condition that Peterson undergo counseling from a league-appointed counselor is no longer enforceable, since the suspension was tossed out.

The big question on the minds of most Vikings’ fans is whether Peterson’s future will include Minnesota, and that question right now is also difficult to answer.
Pro Football Talk notes that while Peterson didn’t tell Anderson he is looking forward to moving on away from Minnesota, statements from Peterson’s agent and several media reports have indicated that he would like to go elsewhere because he felt the Vikings weren’t supportive enough following his indictment.
