The day after he was booked for resisting arrest at a Houston nightclub, Vikings star Adrian Peterson used Twitter to promise that the truth will surface. Authorities say Peterson refused to leave the club early Saturday and scuffled with three off-duty police officers working security there. Peterson tweeted Winston Churchill’s quote: “A lie spreads halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.”
