Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is asking anyone and everyone to stop posting pictures of his son, Adrian Jr., on the internet.
Bad assumptions were made Friday after news broke that a 2-year old related to Peterson was hospitalized after being assaulted in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Sadly, the infant didn’t survive the injuries. A man has been charged in the case.
TMZ and multiple other media outlets posted pictures of Peterson with Adrian Jr., assuming the child in the photo was the same child involved in the assault. Out of respect for Peterson’s wishes, we will not link to any outlets that posted photos of the wrong child.
My son Adrian Jr. who lives w/me is healthy. Appreciate the concern. We respectfully ask to stop tweeting his pics.

Peterson’s tweets this morning are the first confirmation from the All-Pro running back that the child who died is his son.
