Adrian Peterson’s season has been so good so far that he’s making people forget he tore his ACL less than a year ago. Peterson is 14 yards from passing his 2011 total, and is on pace for 1,700 yards. To put that in perspective, his career high is 1,760 yards.
Bo Mitchell points out that the 458 yards Adrian Peterson has rushed for in the last three games is the most he’s totaled over a three game stretch in his entire career.
Offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave has taken a lot of heat for only giving Peterson the ball five times in the second half of Sunday’s loss to Seattle. Mark Craig of the Star Tribune notes that Minnesota had the ball for less than one-third of the second half, so it’s no surprise Peterson didn’t get more action.
