Percy Harvin’s debut season with the Seattle Seahawks isn’t starting the way he thought it would.
The former Vikings wide receiver confirmed on Tuesday that he needs surgery to repair a slight tear of the labrum in his hip.

He’ll go under the knife on Thursday and won’t return until late in the season, according to NBC Sports.
Harvin reportedly suffered the injury during offseason workouts.
Seattle wide receiver Golden Tate told ESPN that with or without Harvin, “I still feel like we have enough playmakers to succeed this year.”
Harvin signed a six-year, $67 million deal with the Seahawks after the Vikings traded him to Seattle in March.
