Just a quick note with the Super Bowl rapidly getting out of hand in New York, that former Viking Percy Harvin is an absolute beast when healthy.
The Seahawks ran a number of gadget plays for Percy in the first half of the NFL’s title game (screens, handoffs, etc.) to get the ball in Harvin’s hands.
His stats looked good at halftime: Three touches, 50 yards.
The second half held his landmark moment though, housing the opening kickoff of the final 30 minutes after fielding it on a hop. Here’s video of the return.
With the current score 29-0, it looks like Harvin and former Vikings Sidney Rice, Heath Farwell, Derrick Coleman, Steven Hauschka, and coordinator Darrell Bevell are headed for Super Bowl rings.
