In what was supposed to be a battle between two of the NBA’s youngest up-and-coming teams, the Timberwolves destroyed the Philadelphia 76ers on national television.
The marquee matchup TNT was pitching all night was between big men Karl-Anthony Towns and Joel Embiid. Towns won the battle and it wasn’t even close. He finished with 25 points and 10 rebounds while Embiid had 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Embiid also bit on a pump fake by Towns and the result was a nasty dunk that rocked Target Center.
