With just over one month to play in the regular season, the race in the Big Ten is deadlocked with the Gophers (14-13-0, 9-3-0) and Michigan (17-4-4, 8-2-2) tied atop the standings – and Penn State is close behind after earning a weekend split with the Gophers.
Minnesota topped Penn State on Friday only to fall 5-3 to the Nittany Lions on Saturday at Mariucci Arena.
Head coach Don Lucia called the loss “frustrating and disappointing.”
