CLEVELAND — Mike Pelfrey (3-3) pitched six strong innings and Trevor Plouffe hit a two-run homer to help the Twins top the Indians today, 4-2 at Progressive Field.
Justin Morneau and Joe Mauer each drove in a run, as Minnesota improved to 13-14 on the year — and avoiding getting swept in the three-game series in Cleveland.
The Twins now head to Boston for a four-game series, wrapping up their 10-game road trip.
